You know that elephant in the room you've been avoiding? Yep, that one. (We've noticed it, too, but couldn't bring ourselves to face it...) -makes us think of good ol' Thomas Hobbes and his whole materialism philosophy. Not that we'd ever encourage anyone to be purposefully shallow, but what if that elephant wasn't making everyone nervous and uncomfortable? What if it was adorable, and produced a gentle, calming breeze? Maybe being a materialist isn't that bad (well, except for your aunt's hideous thimble collection, but that's a whole new level of elephant).
