On the TWELFTH day of Christmas, I put on my tree...
twelve beautiful baubles,
eleven mallows swimming,
ten snowman heads,
nine paper fakers,
eight snowman snowglobes,
seven swirls of glitter,
six modest mice,
GOOOOOOLD, PURPLE RED GREEN
four cupcake cuties
three sparkly sparrows
two tiny martinis
and an underwater amigurumi!
(We fought it for as long as we could...but as soon as Thanksgiving is over, it is officially
C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S T-I-M-E here at The Afternoon! And to help you deck your halls and trim your tree, we are bringing you 12 days of posts about our wide variety of Christmas ornaments, everything from adorable to elegant to funky to modern.)
Oh, it's the last day of ornament posts, but I still have so many amazing ornaments to share with you! How can I ever choose the last ornament to showcase? Do I go the adorable route (which is obviously one of my favorites) and show you the fluffy little baby penguins in their warm red scarves?
Or should I appeal to a lady's inner princess and offer up a bright green frog prince? Or maybe I should focus on sets of ornaments we've been getting, like the Snowman tea set:
Or the funky new 60's inspired ornaments, based on the icons and palletes of history's grooviest decade:
Or maybe instead of going retro-colored, we just talk retro themes, like snow, icicles, and ice-skating.
But if I focus on any of THOSE things, we won't have time to talk about the other snowmen, Santas, penguins, reindeer, and the many many types of snowflakes we started carrying this year!
Maybe you should just come to The Afternoon and check them out. They're all amazing!
