summer jewelry part 2: bugging out!

In our recent post on summer jewelry, we featured many large, brightly colored pieces to update your summer wardrobe. We got a great response to that post, but we realize that not everyone is a fan of bold jewelry and you might be looking for something a little more demure. So we decided to feature some more understated options for those of you who still want to add a little fun to your jewelry collections. Another advantage of the fun, casual nature of summer get-togethers (picnics, pool parties, trips to the lake), is the opportunity they give us to be playful with our accessories. Get creative with your jewelry and embrace earrings and necklaces with whimsical shapes! The above earrings from Tomas are lightweight and brightly colored, and the sweet shapes of ladybugs, butterflies--and yes, even spiders!--give your outfit a significant summer kick without sacrificing your own style! This picture was taken in our Westroads location, but all three locations will have fun new shapes available for you. And if you like the bugs and are willing to take a wee bit bigger risk, check out the incredible new line of Yipes! necklaces we have in store and online from artist Joyce Fritz. They're beautiful, bright and unexpected...just the thing to add a little boost to your summer look! Link
